Plant Breeding
AgXtra initiated contract plant breeding services in 2009, expanding the program to encompass over 90,000 plots by 2023.
Investment in additional staff and infrastructure remains a focal point, ensuring our capacity meets or exceeds the demands of our current program. Over the past decade, our expansion into NSW and Victoria has resulted in the placement of permanent staff in the Horsham, Wagga Wagga, and Coolah regions. All AgXtra hubs are now equipped with plant and equipment to facilitate independent operations.
AgXtra is steadfast in its commitment to ongoing improvement and investment in this segment, enabling the continual expansion and evolution of the plant breeding services we provide. This investment encompasses modern seeding, crop maintenance, and harvesting equipment necessary to conduct small plot breeding trials for various crop types.
