Kellie Jones and Tom Stewart have joined AgXtra, working from the Wagga Wagga office

New Wagga Wagga staff ready for 2018!

28 March 2018

Kellie Jones and Tom Stewart commenced work with AgXtra in early February, bringing with them a blend of industry experience and enthusiasm.

Kellie Jones has joined us as a Senior Technical Officer, and will be primarily responsible for the daily operations in the Southern NSW region. Originally from Melbourne, where she studied for her BAgSc at La Trobe University, Kellie spent time post graduation on cattle stations in the north of the country. More recently she was based at Temora, where she was involved in trial and farm management at the Agricultural Innovation Centre. Since joining us in February, Kellie has demonstrated her work ethic, a strong focus on preparation, and a desire to get the job done, correctly, the first time. We are looking forward to having Kellie part of the team, as we are Technical Officer Tom Stewart. A “local” from Harden, Tom commenced part time work with us last season, working as a casual whilst completing his Ag degree at Charles Sturt University. Having grown up on the family farm, Tom’s practical approach to work, and his understanding of the industry, are immediately evident upon meeting him. We were quick to identify Tom’s potential for a role in the Research industry, and are pleased to have him commence his career with us. After an intitial week of induction in Wagga, Tom and Kellie spent a week in Adelaide where they were introduced to the SA team, attended the GRDC Update, and commenced their training program. A big welcome to both Tom and Kellie!
